The impression Kirsten Johnson left on our class was, to say the least, significant. With my luck, it just so happened to be the one class out of the whole semester I missed. Though due to the conversation it sparked in my peers, I felt there was still so much to gain by what my friends had to say off of their reactions to the lecture. It stands out the impact Johnson had on my classmates, purely based on her enthusiasm and motivational words she brought to my friends, enough to keep the conversation going outside of the classroom. From what I can gather through my “Vicarious” experience, her confidence emanated from everything about her. From what she was wearing, to how she talked and wondered the room, she wasn’t fearful at all from judgment, nothing was holding her back from being herself. This essence of confidence in our self-expression is what she was pushing the students to just create without being concerned about opinions. This stuck out from what everything people told me...
